Lawrence Barrett, "The Dreaming City" - El Paso, TX

Lawrence Barrett is a native Marylander who has spent his life writing poetry and soldiering all over the world. Lawrence is retired from a 20-year stint in the US Army where he traveled to such lovely getaway spots as Bosnia and Iraq. He has an MA from Webster University and has resided in El Paso for the last 10 years. Lawrence frequents El Paso's local poetry readings and open-mics as well as other venues across the southwest. He is author of Letters from the Meat Market of Paradise; Ah, Desolation!; Yell Louder Please; and No Breaks I'm Crashing. Lawrence is married to a local El Paso artist, and from time to time, experiments with creating artistic designs.
