From Manuel Alvarado: "I have been interested in art since I was 13 years old. In high school, I enrolled in art classes, but most of the time I have been self taught, reading art books, also I have taken art classes from Mr. Manny Guerra (artist) and also from Mr. Mario Parra (artist). My art works consist of subjects of animals, landscapes, and some portraits. The main media I use is charcoal, water color, acrylic, oils and pyrography (wood burning). My main line of work was air conditioning and maintenance repairs at Providence Memorial Hospital for 35 years."
